I purchased 2 huge containers to grow tomatoes in. I planted the tomatoes reflective as instructed and both plants are about a foot to a foot and a partially tall. I notice a few long stranded roots coming from the bottom of each pot. The roots be white and wet since they be sitting in the saucers lower than the pots and it had simply rained. I'm not sure if I should donate them there or try trim them. Repotting, lamentably, is not an option due to restricted space.
Answers:    If roots are growing out under the pots they involve more soil to grow in, They are root bound and will soon die if you don't correct the problem. Maybe the pots are big plenty you just set plants to close to the bottum. Maybe you can use matching pots and replant closer to the top with potting soil added to furnish the roots more room.
If your plants are only a foot towering and roots are already coming out the bottom, your container is too small. What kind of tomatoes are they and what size are the pots?
