My family want to use fertilizer/ water (all the frickin time) and the grass still get some yellow spots creeping in. It roughly 80F on average during the day. Is it worth it to water/keep green or should we let it budge? Will it come back if we let it step yellow?
Take a look at this info re cause and cures:
You need to find out why it turns pallid, Dog and cat urine will do it, may take a couple of days, fungus and grubs will do it to. Call your local extension office and you may call for to do a soil sample through them and they will let you know exactly what your soil is so you can make available it only what it needs and gather some money for beer and bar-b-q later.lol! Just remember to water at hours of darkness because adding water contained by the middle of the day makes it too hot and burns up the grass.
Answers: Grass is designed to go dormit during the hot dry weather of the summer and after come back again in the crash when it rains more. However if you want a deep green courtyard year round that is the envy of the neighborhood you have to fertilize 5-6 times per year and sea at least an inch per week all through the growing season not freshly in the summer.
