Usually, you just enjoy a tree or bush. If your tree or bush produces some sort of fruit, which would after be picked - it would depend very much on what KIND of tree/bush you have.
Serviceberries are ripe within June. Peaches and Plums in July. Apples - August through October, depending on the variety. persimmons...not until after the first firm frost. That's just a sample. Tell us what you own, and we'll tell you more about it.
