If a huge tree fell down contained by a forest, would it still variety a big clamour if not a soul be a round 2 hear?
nicpowel has get it on the right track. therefore just the sound surge would be produced, and with not a soul around, (to listen) there would be NO hum.. except for that lil bird who was living within the tree... LOL

So..the answer is yes, noise is nouns waves and nouns waves be created, much like a TV station or radio station broadcasting. I'm sure the birds and animals hear it.
Answers: No. It would send a series of compressions through the heavens, but as there are no ears around to turn them into what we recognise as nouns, that's all they would remain. Sound just exists in the brain.
