This morning, I had a new company in my yard: it looked resembling a small-to-mid sized blackbird. Though my view was somewhat obstructed by leaves (it was perched in a big bush). The striking thing was its tremendously odd call sound--it sounded resembling big drops of rain falling into water. Or any river drops falling into water, really. I live in Massachusetts. Does anyone know what charitable of bird this might be? Its call was most distinctive.
Answers: I don't live surrounded by your area but in ours the most distinct blackbird is the
Red Wing Blackbird.
