I want to start a climbing plant to climb up a wall of a house. It isnt particularily sunny so would need to thrive contained by the shade and also cold as in UK!! Which ones would be best to use?? gratitude
I don't know about your climate, but I hold Jasmine because the fragrance is so nice when it blooms.
Most climbing plants hold tendrils that can ruin mortar or for good alter the walls finish.
Is best to have them climb up a fence so as not to degrade the utility of your home.
Answers: you could try a porcelainberry vine, grows about 8-10 ft. elevated and wide. magnoila vine, trumpet vine, passionflower vine,or conceivably a japanese hydrangea vine. all virtuous choices and very pretty.
