I think it will not repair so I believe you should get grass seed and replant your grass only this time instead of weed assassin you should use a fertilizer that kills weed and grows grass
If you used a non-selective weed killer, later you've killed your grass, as ably as the weeds.
It may come final, but the weeds will come vertebrae faster. time to re-seed or sod and start again.
And next time - make sure the weed killer you use will not gun down the grass. Some are made for broadleaf weed control...but some weed killers are broad-spectrum, and will eliminate everything, including grass (like roundup)
Answers: it probably is beyond repair then again grass is tough it may start to grow you would see results soon maybe only just a couple weeks
