I like growing plants, especially fruits and vegetables. Not so much flowers since they are nice to look at but you can't in actual fact taste the fruit of your pains...
I want to grow something big... what do you recommend? If it doesn't take up a ton of space beside metres upon metres of vines that would help.
I've thought in the order of watermelon but I've heard they inevitability a TON of water, almost swamp-like conditions.
Maybe pumpkin... not sure if I want a jackolantern type of pumpkin,or one of those big delicious ones which are actually squash I've hear.
My dad suggested sugar beets but I have no theory where I would gain the seeds from, I'm not a cultivator. I think adjectives stores sell are red beet seed.
Maybe corn? I've tried but never gotten it to start growing.
Any other suggestions?
I live in Canada... southwestern Ontario if that make a difference.
