I just moved into this house, I love the house but the courtyard is unbelievably bad one of the bushes on the side of my house is a honeysuckle but it is totally epidemic. I don't know how to clean it up some of it is limp. but it is still blooming. the other plants i dont even know what they are so i dont know how to take guardianship of them. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't enjoy the money to hire a gardener so please don't be sarcastic. I only need a litlle insist on I am trying to make my patio pretty.
have a yard is similar to having a babe. every yard is similar. but, consequently it is different. some people do and beleive contained by different ways to garden. i'm more of a lazy gardener. i beleive that God dont want us bloodbath ourselves over the yard. immediately that being said what i would do if i be you, would be to go to the liberary. they enjoy different books about gardening next to different outlooks on the yard. it pretty much is essentially the same its of late the way of going around it.

Go ahead and cut stale anything that doesn't look attractive. Prune shrubs back as complex as you want to make them fit next to the yard.
If you own fruit trees you will need to be circumspect because incorrect pruning can eat up the fruiting.

Plants have evolved to survive one grazed and bashed so it usually won't hurt them to procure cut back. Esthetically it does them a world of obedient.

If you live in an nouns with winter frosts you can soundly prune everything until the end of July but after that it is better to linger until early the following spring.
Answers:    I have not even so trimmed my honeysuckel so I can only volunteer this bit of advise start slow trim small amounts work from the ouside parimeters of the plant. Also step stern often, totally often when trimming trees and bushes you are standing up close and your perspective is different from where on earth you are standing with your clippers.
If you enjoy a digital camera you could take pics of the plants within your yard filch them with you to your local nursery or home restoration store garden center. If you can match the pics to plants surrounded by the store you can check the tags on the plants for the proper precision. If you decide to transplant and or split your plants 1. donot move plants beside flowers on them. wait till they are done flowering or move them prior to budding. 2. if splitting cut thru the roots near a knife do not tweak them apart. If I were you I would research your plants and lable them beside name, consequently let them bloom embezzle pics of the plants so you rember color, highth .etc. then contained by the fall move things around. to craft your garden your own. PS agood way to get hold of to know your neighbors is to look at their gardens and ask them about their plants, gardeners recurrently share seeds and cutings
Good luck
