I had a similar problem. I planted centipede grass and it come up fine and I watered it daily, but it started turning glowing after about a month. The red red color means it is stressed for some principle. Starter fertilizers have lots of phosphorus but not much nitrogen. I found that my sward needed nitrogen fertilizer to continue growing doggedly. I chose Vigaro Ultra Turf since it had soaring nitrogen and timed release nitrogen.
