Your babysitter lied, Cheerios do not grow donuts, donut holes do. Cheerios are not trees, they are bushes. Make sure you use milk to river it or they will be soggy when you harvest them. You don't entail to protect them from birds but they do tend to attract mice, so I hope you have a cat :-)
