Answers:    It is also possible that your cane are TOO old. Raspberries fruit on second year canes. The elder ones that turn brown should be cut out right down to the ground. If you don't prune out the older canes, they will crowd out the modern canes that would bear fruit.
You may enjoy the fall-bearing variety. Also, young bushes won't produce any to few fruit the first year. Keep the bushes well-watered, well-fertilized and contained by a sunny location.
