Answers: Controlling bugs naturally is more than using smaller quantity toxic sprays. You need to attract beneficial insects and other critters such as spiders, snakes, toads, frogs. you also want to have fighting fit soils as healthy plants do not attract pest insects. I own a nice example of this in my marketplace garden. We have 3 stands of Kale. One be recently transplanted and is full of green worms. Another be planted from seed and is underneath row cover and has a few green worms. The 3rd patch volunteered right by a compost pile, is unprotected and have zero bug disfavour because it is growing where the most nutrients are, and that`s why, are the healthiest plants
So have places within your garden that are high so beneficials hold a place to live. Grow healthy soils using compost and green manure (cover crops you grow in instruct to turn in to the soil surrounded by the spring). Practise crop rotation to confuse the pests. Learn how to use row covers. Make a practise of appendage picking pest insects and eggs and killing them every afternoon and most importantly learn your bugs so you know what is righteous and what is bad.
Many garden centers give natural sprays for insects. Check near your local nursery for the specific type of killer you obligation. Also many areas present a county extension service manned by experienced master gardeners and salaried professionals. Their service is free. You can also try a mixture of hot sauce, vinegar and water to formulate a spray. It will deter some pest and control others. Good luck and happy gardening.
