Fall is the best time to transplant trees and even though you any live in zone eight, nine or ten, run ahead and transplant. There are a couple of tips for you when transplanting.

Make sure you take a shovel and loosen the dirt around the entire tree. I procure down on my hands and knees to find the mother root, which is the most high-status one. Take your shovel up underneath the root system and gently elevate the tree up and out.

Have your new hole in position and I recommend to my clients to add some natural mushroom compost to your soil. This is an organic fertilizer that will ending up to one year. It doesn't smell great but your Cedar trees will love it.

Make sure you stay on a good watering calendar and slow drip your water around the tree for the first couple of weeks. This will ensure adjectives the roots getting a good soaking.

You can make the addition of mulch or pine straw around the tree to help hold contained by the moisture. You can also add a handful of six month nitrogen slow release fertilizer to your soil. You can do this presently and then again within the springtime.

Since you are within Florida, you don't get a regular cold winter approaching the rest of the country. If it has cooled down considerably you can plant in a minute, or wait until it does so. As long as it isn't stifling hot during the daytime hours it will be fine. The cooler the better though, as you don't want the infantile plants to suffer from the heat as resourcefully as transplant shock at the same time. You must variety sure that you give them ample marine if the weather is warm. Soak them righteous every couple days until they get established, especially if you own a sandy soil. A sandy soil will not hold moisture very okay and leaches down quite without delay. Hope this answers your question.
