I just bought a spathiphyllum today and took it out of it's plastic pot and put it into a clay pot of the same size.I have to remove some soil to get it into the clay pot because it was so jammed within the plastic one. But now after only a few hours the plant is drooping...I enjoy it under a light to be exact only on 3-4 hours a day. The rest of the time the room is dimly lit. I've added some wet but how much is too much and what is not enough...this is my first attempt at indoor plants so I could use as much info as possible thanks!
Answers: if the clay pot have a hole in the bottom then marine it until water comes pouring out of the bottom, or sit it in marine for a half hour and let it drink as much as it requirements..
it doesn't need much light but might call for more than you're giving it, or it might have been dilapidated at the roots when you replanted it.. give it a good watering, contained by a day or two you'll know if it's going to live or not..
you should really have put it within a container that's about an inch bigger around than the one it was within, especially if it's already taken up all that room.. if it doesn't look better within a few hours of giving it sea try putting it in a larger pot..
