I put it down and nothing is taking place. Does the fertilizer loose some, or all, of it's power to work after time? The fertilizer be in plastic heaps and never opened.
Answers:    Air and moisture will produce it to lose potency, but it should last for 3-5 years, if hermetic. Pellets may last even longer.
You inevitability to spread your fertilizer just until that time a rain to really see the effects of it, I don't muse the fertilizer looses its strength for several years unless it gets drizzling, you may have the wrong type. I use tripple 19 on my patio and two bags will cover in the order of one half of an acre. Five years ago the price of a daypack of this fertilizer was more or less 4 dollars a bag, two weeks ago I bought 2 heaps and the price was 22 dollars a pod.
