Does anyone know how I could find one?
What time of year is good for harvest?
Answers: Peggy,
This link will bring you to a place where on earth they buy the walnuts from you. But I would urge you not to destroy the tree itself. Perhaps I am a bit of a tree hugger, but it is not smooth to find old growth walnut and it would be a legitimate shame to just trade it off for lumber. Unless you are lower than 6 yrs old, you could never replace the tree contained by your lifetime.

If you want to sell your walnut tree for lumber, contact a lumber courtyard. Not one that sells lumber, one that mills it. You might be capable of find a lumber mill in the phone book, intricate to say lacking knowing where you live. Sometimes empire advertise for walnut trees to cut down, check your broadsheet. However, sometimes they won't buy a tree from an urban yard, because in that might be nails or something within the tree, and that would tear up their saw blades when they try to mill it. But walnut trees are other valuable, you can ask. Or put an commercial in the newspaper, someone who does woodworking might be interested.
