my backyard is divided into two half, upper and lower. within is a slope that connects them but the slope is always dodgy because it is slippery. what can i do about this? should i net a path out of rocks or something
Answers:    We enjoy the same setup at our house! The previous owner built most of the staircase out of rocks from the property (and did an amazing job). I built some more at the bottom of the hummock but I made them wider and used a round stepping stone in the middle and rocks otherwise. I built a simple guide out of wood to manufacture the steps. If you are tight on money my neighbor had a great belief. He needed a new driveway and used the ripened broken concrete to make a staircase. He have a crew build it and they used concrete blocks under the driveway rubble to form all the steps matching height. It looked a bit organic at first but after 5 years it looks quite devout!
Terrace it. Just cut in cavernous steps. It's a lot of work, but it will be worth it.
