I live in CA by the beach. Could you please tolerate me know hot to take care of the tree the best and when/where is the best place to plant it. Thanks
Answers: I a moment ago answered a similar question the other day, figure copy and paste works
Figs are relatively tolerant of a wide variety of soils, thriving in fairly robust clays as well as in loose, sandy loams. Soils from slightly tart to very slightly neutral will support them. Trees should be kept free of weed competition, and moisture should be constantly available. A adjectives watering about every 10 days is recommended where summers tend to be dry. Once growth have begun, an early spring application of a complete fertilizer may be made, or the trees may be kept mulched near compost. High nitrogen applications should be avoided. Excessive nitrogen levels can cause figs to split and become runny tasting, and the trees will be more susceptible to winter damage. It does tremendously well with allot of sun. The fruit is actual it's flower, if you interest the fig tree doesn't produce a flower like other fruit trees. On my younger trees I pop off the fruit/flower to allow the tree to concentrate more on growth.
Good luck
