The weeds are mostly unmoving at the root, and it's prairie grass, which is notoriously tough. I've tried pulling, digging as best I can, boiling river, even burning, and nothing works, so I may hold to resort to chemicals.
Answers: Try killing stale tough weeds next to salt - but not dutiful if you are visited regularly by toads - it's poisonous to them. If not pathclear kill everything and keeps things from growing for 6 months.
