Do any cottage owners know if there's a solution. And mosquito repellant does not help! I stipulation them away from the area we've tried firepits they facilitate a bit but can we put something in the ponds to shoot them before they breed? Help! I love my cottage but the mosquitos are bloodbath me!

Answers:    Yes, there are tablets that you can put into the wet. They work (my parent's use them).

One entity you can do is stock your pond with guppies - they chomp through mosquito larvae. My dad used to hold fish tanks and he would breed them over the winter and agree to them into the pond during summer (I think they don't survive winters). Also, build a few bat houses and the bat will eat the mosquitos.
