I overseeded a blue grass lawn near a tall fescue mix for former times 2 years, not realizing what i be doing. not my lawn is hideous. how is a problem similar to this fixed? and how much might i expect to pay. it's a 1/4 acre lot, near a house on it.
Answers: If it were me I would linger till early leak and kill the unbroken yard near Round up. Be sure you give the Round up time to dissipate so it does not snuff out the new kernel. Rent a roto tiller and till the yard and reseed. I used to put surrounded by yards and found that trickle yards do best. Be sure to fertilize and sea. If you do the work yourself you can figure your cost by going to a home supply store and price the core and fertilizer. Roto tiller usually rent by the day.
If the high fescue is only contained by a small percent of the yard you could spot spray it beside roundup. Anything that will kill the high fescue will kill the blue grass too so I guess you enjoy to just spray until the high fescue is gone. Then put out the seed you want.
If it be my lawn I would mow it and telephone call it a job. LOL
