i have potted,12 hyacinth pulbs within the house ,
they are growing well, but iv notice very tiny black flys surrounded by and around the pots,i dont want to spray fly killer into the plants , any tips on how to return with rid of them , ,they seem to live contained by the soil
Answers:    Water a solution of a contact insecticide into the soil around all your indoor and greenhouse plants. In adjectives, you could put a layer of horticultural grit on the surface of your pots, which would discourage the flies from lay eggs in the compost. Too much moisture may hold been moderately to blame, so go flowing on the watering. Let the top couple of inches dry out thoroughly before you wet again.
i had this one year near hyacinth bulbs & it never effected the flowering of them they be just as nice as other years - self to wet can be a problem or getting to reheat - i just sprayed some soapy sea on mine when the soil had dried out correctly well but not seriously - i think any natural little mixture would help - i,m sure someone out near has a recipe - pious luck.
