most everyone i know of use an umbrella for the summer season to block light here contained by my city.. traditional asians are typically afraid of sunlight (they think that fairer skin = difficult class/status, and darker/tanned skin = slaves/working class). so everywhere i look in my city, within are tons of people using umbrellas. lol.
