Can i use a tomato cage folded out straight similar to a trellis for two tomato plants? And when should i use it? my plants are about 7 inches out of the ground. and do i call for to tie the plants to it?

Answers:    Place one cage per plant contained by the ground now and the plants grow inside the cage. You need to place the cage before the plants carry any larger.

Oh boy! Looks like you've never grown tomatoes. They draw from huge. Sometimes one cage per plant is not enuff. Yes you hold to tie them up, also. I use pantyhose cut up. The tomatoes will weigh down the cages.
