We had a terribly bad drought surrounded by Ohio last year, and I own a number of spruce evergreens within my back patio. I started watering them, but too late, and various them died. I have started to verbs them out and replace them. A couple I am not sure if I should or not. They are 20-25 feet contained by height, and the top 1/3 to 1/2 of the tree looks dead- no needles, brown. The bottom 2/3 to 1/2 or so looks somewhat normal- green needles and such. Will these trees get hot growth near the top? Or are they done for? Should I prune them contained by some way to buoy new growth? Or a short time ago replant?
Because of cost, I am stuck replacing these rather voluminous trees with little 4 footers, which are going to look to some extent goofy until they catch up. So my nouns is to save them first, but Ill take out if they are never going to look suitable.

Needled evergreens take surrounded by their moisture thru their needles.
Try spraying it and see if it comes about.
If not afterwards replace.
are you sure it be the drought? Mine (2 of 5) died because of a boring bug.
It might be cheaper to call Back Tree to let go them instead of the chainsaw.
Answers: They will not recover to their former glory. replace them and collect yourself a lot of aggro.
Whether you prune them or they grow back themselves, they will conclusion up with double tops. So they are going to be to some extent goofy looking. If you want them uniform your best bet will be to replace them.
