My pear trees are afflicted with fire blight. I've heard that this should step away during the summer months but its July and my trees are still unhealthy. what can i do to cure them?
Answers:    I don't have pear trees but my pyracantha bring back fire blight during a couple of the summer months. I remove the hardened infected branches and it usually goes away. Make sure the tree has sufficient hose down as it needs all its dash to combat the blight. Also, make sure that you wash adjectives the tools you use in a 1 to 10 solution of chlorox.. You don't want to help this blight spread to other plants.
Fire Blight is a bacterial disease of the tree.
Contact your local county extension service to give a hand.

I know many people are moderately successful by spraying the trees or injecting them with Streptomycin.
You can generally get hold of this at a Professional Landscape Supply company.
