How to stop a annoying person neighbour lighting fires contained by his garden during the daytime? Who can I report him to?
Who can I report him to?
Tell him to set fire to himself. (that usually works) A can of petrol should do the trick!
As Philip H say, it's not actuall illegal unless it's causing other ancestors problems.
I reported a neighbour, as my husband suffers from asthma, and the fumes from bonfires was seriously affecting his health. It cause a rift between us though, so try talking to your neighbour first. I did, but they ignored my requests.
It's fireworks that make happen problems where I live. I live by the sea, surrounded by a posh part of Cornwall, and we get rich yachties out on the estuary who suppose it's cool to celebrate everything with fireworks from the yacht, usually after midnight. They're on holiday, so don't tender a damn about the ordinary working folk. Why are relatives so thoughtless?
Answers: If you are UK
The legislation which is in place to regulate the use of bonfires in the garden is call ¡®Statutory Nuisance¡¯ which is contained in the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
You can actually burn a bonfire at any time of the afternoon as long as the smoke given off by the flames does not cause a bind to other people who live nearby. ¡®Causing a nuisance¡¯ may give the impression of being a broad term but a ¡®nuisance¡¯ in this instance would be if the smoke be to enter people¡¯s houses, if it was blowing across people¡¯s gardens and preventing their normal use of the garden, if it artificial any washing which had be hung out to dry or if any ash or hot cinders was to blow onto a neighbour¡¯s property.
This would all come across quite a ¡®grey¡¯ area because firstly, it would appear that you couldn¡¯t have a fire without one or more of the above scheduled and also because what some people would deem acceptable, others may perceive like peas in a pod activity as a nuisance. Therefore, local authorities would to some extent you follow their guidelines in terms of whether and when you should own a bonfire or not because not only can a bonfire be unsafe, it can also have vigour implications for some people, markedly those with asthma or who suffer with other chest or breathing complaints.
if your in the UK the law states fires cannot be lit back 6pm so he is breaking the law report this to the local council if you can take photos and times as in good health that would be more helpful It is illegal to lighting fires in suburbia in Australia & I assume contained by most countries.
