Answers: Here are some severely healful tips:
a local gardening shop that put us onto Blood & Bone (you add it to soil as a powder)
It worked a treat they hate the smell
Sprinkle everywhere they similar to to hang out!
As an Experiment I am now sewing it into textile bags and planting them around garden.
also I have hear smoky flavored tea in a spray bottle works but I have not tried that nonetheless.
Post back if these work for Opossums as well.

I've used mothballs and cayenne pepper but this year I planted marigolds around my vegetable garden and they not only looked great but kept all the small critters out. i enjoy heard mothballs is good for both possums and snakes
