I have a substantial area within one of my horse pastures where on earth water builds up and get very muddy when I seize heavy rainfall. How can I irrigate it away and drain out of the corral without adjectives a trench. Someone suggested burying a large PVC pipe beside holes in the top side, surround by gravel and run it down the hill side, would this help the nouns stay dryer? Any other ideas? Are within systems on the market?
Answers: Well more than feasible you will have to verbs a french drain ditch. You probably will need a maching depending on how tricky the soil is and how far you need it to drain. You obligation to dig a one foot ditch to where on earth you want the water to drain. wipe the bottom of the ditch with in the region of 1 inch of gravel. 2B River gravel is the best to use. 2B stone works too. There is a black pipe which is better to use than the pvc. Its called corragated flex pipe. Put gravel resting on that the whole mode to the top. You could also leave a couple inches for soil if you dont want the gravel to show. I would support using filter fabric over the stone before putting the soil on though. That will save dirt out of the stone making the drainage better. You could also get away short the pipe too if you really wanted to. Just stone. remember hose flows downhill so make sure you enjoy the right fall on the ditch and pipe. Thats the best I can descibe how to do it. Hope it help.
