How do you remove a richdel sprinkler valve, when I turn the body of it, it doesn't unscrew, it simply turns in place.
Answers: if the stopcock itself has gone bleak, then you can truly replace it without haveing to remove it.
richdells are very soon called irritrol valve.
they are not that hard to replace the guts and top piece of the valve.
if you can find alike valve bad the internet or a landscape store, only just take apart the old-fashioned one and replace the insides with the parts from the fresh valve, and replace the top piece near solenoid as well.
if you cant find alike kind of spigot, just verbs up a nice hole and cut the pipes and replumb it.
thats pretty easy too. the more room you enjoy on the pipe to cut, the easier it will go.
but richdells are presently irritrols.
the parts will be the same, lately have a different sign.
ive seen the richdells end over 20 years though
good luck and hope this help
is it the valve your trying to remove, or the sprinkler chief?
if its the valve, nearby will be two pipes, one in and one out, a moment ago unwind the thread at end ruin of the valve,
If its the sprinkler itself, afterwards there should be a pipe underneath the sprinkler(swing joint) just grab hold of the whole body and unscrew ( build sure you grab the complete sprinkler and not just the top, you may hold to dig around it
