Answers:    Take a medium-small tub, use an basic gardening trowel and insert it in the ground, move it posterior and forth to separate the grass and the ground (insert the trowel deeper than the roots--a few inches deep is okay), and lever the grass up and place it surrounded by the tub. (Green side up, please!) Water the grass occasionally, expose it to sunlight, and when you are done redeposit in the ground. Hope it help!

dig up some of the dirt too. Kinda similar to a piece of sod should help preserve.
