I have a small flower bed in the backyard of my current house. I'd like to plant something pretty and easy to precision for there (gardening novice) but I need to craft sure it's dog friendly- especially since all the really nice flowers are on the aspca poison list. It is a shady nouns in zone 6. Any suggestions on good plants that won't wound my pup?
I woud look on other neighbers plants if you like em and if they hold a dog or ask a local nurserie for advise

The best piece to do is put a three-foot fence around your garden. The fence close to the plants will deter the dogs from entering and thus ingestion the plants.

Plant them some grass to eat if they want to chew on greens.
Answers:    While I'm not sure about the poisonous aspect, here are some that are friendly for dogs walking through them -- hostas, ferns, boxwood, daylilies. You can also put up a small wooden fence around it to discourage the dog from entering.
