ok, so this year i grew some moonflowers from seed. ive never done this beforehand and have be successful so far. and now i want to maintain the seeds so that i can grow more subsequent yr. its getting colder and i want to cut off the core pods. but i dont know if there is a positive time i should this, and what to do with the pip pods afterwards. i live in michigan. and i dont presume theres been a frost nonetheless, but the night are cold. any minister to on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:    I agree beside the others. The only problem is infantile behaviour. I asked the SAME question, because my seed weren't mature. The answer I get was that the growing season may not be long ample to fully ripen the seed. I am contained by zone 5, too. Next year, I plan on starting them inside.

Once the pods are thoroughly dry, you can cut them any time. Just put them in a cool, dimness place for the winter. My mom does this all the time.
