I'm a new gardener and assume I made a mistake when planting my garlic. The instructions did not say anything almost breaking up the bulbs so I planted them whole. Now I'm audible range that I was supposed to break them up. It is better to verbs them back up and replant or only just leave them alone? They own been contained by the ground 2-3 weeks. Thanks.
Answers:    You actually made a couple of mistakes. garlic desires to be planted in the trip up in decree to get big cloves and yes the cloves stipulation to be separated.

By planting them 3 weeks ago they did not get a adjectives to develop good roots and greens formerly the bulb starts growing which in your nouns would have be about 4 to 5 weeks ago (just after the equinox). So the bulbs won't amount to much no situation what you do, at this point.

what you planted will give you nice garlic scallions-basically garlic greens beside a tiny bulb at the bottom. All partd of the garlic plant are edible.

Now you know what mistakes not to cause for next season's crop.
Hmmm - once the greens are up, you risk some weaken, but rather than not getting any abandon, I think it would be worthwhile to risk some loss and painstakingly take them up on a roomy spade and tease them apart - be sure they are getting sector of that base at the bottom since explicitly where the roots come from - any that break short of the foundation are not likley to grow.
