i am participating in a cancer walk next to the theme "garden of hope" i was told to find a road to make some flowers out of a material that would be capable of stay together in rain. we are going to put these flowers within a flowerpot and write the names of thoes who donate money on them. i would appreciate any ideas on how to get the flowers and stems etc.
thank you!! =)
You can cut margarine tubs into flower forms and cement sticks or straws on as stems.
Okay this might be a short time hard to understand since I don't own any photos but you can get cloth (depends how big you want your flower) and wooden sticks, like chopsticks, or stable straws.
First slump the cloth down so that the you see the side the doesn't have any design. Then place the straw or stick on top of it. Now let's pretend this straw or stick is the stem and the cloth is the rose. Wrap the cloth around the top of the "stem" until it looks similar to a rose. Sew it together and write the name on it however you want.
Hope it helped!
Answers: pipe cleaners or floral wire would make an undemanding "stem" with the cloth idea. I've made them beside yarn too, like mini pom poms.
