my boyfriend's friends smoke pot and i asked for some of the seeds since i approaching gardening. i was curious since i know that its moderately a beautiful plant. i planted 3 seed and only one sprouted. its in a minute about 8 days outmoded and the stem is 3 1/2inches long. i want to make it small similar to a bonzai. i just really want it to be a showy plant. plus, its quite cool to own a marijuana plant among your plants.
i know its illegal and everything. i'm not trying to be a druglord or anything but i cant facilitate my curiousity. its a single plant.
You can't--even if it be legal. Plants that acquire large leaves do not lend themselves to Bonsai. Try a blue rug juniper. Not to smoke for crying clearly. Don't you care what you put contained by your body? Try the juniper for bonsai. I'll keep you inhabited and you won't feel the requirement to get lofty all the time.
You do know, don't you - that when that thing go into flower - anyone who even steps foot in your front door will KNOW it's contained by there somewhere. A plant surrounded by flower has a thoroughly unique, and PENETRATING aroma.
That one said - pretty wierd to take simply a risk because "it's pretty". Bonsai's are usually a technique performed on woody perennial plants. Cannabis is more of an herbaceous critter. It's an annual within cold climates - flowering and seeding adjectives in one year. In tropical areas it may live a few years - but it's not a long-lived plant. As such it's unsuitable to use for bonsai.
Answers: It will not go into flower unless it is getting at lowest 12 hours of complete darkness every dark. In the common household this is not usual. You can "bonsai" it. I hold seen it done until that time. Keep it in a small pot -the ones I enjoy seen be in 4" pots, and trim it to save it small. Never take rotten more than 1/3 of the plant at a time. Trim out new tips when needed - not too commonly.
