How snuff out crabgrass? is there any means of access to kill it short killing...

is there any means of access to kill it short killing my grass? I tried Ortho carbgrass spray and it does nought. I want to see if there is any other road besides killing adjectives with roundup. any accepted wisdom?

Answers:    Are you SURE it's crabgrass? It might be a thick fescue and crabgrasss assassin will not kill fescue.

The crabgrass contract killer usually works, it takes a couple of weeks, if it's crabgrass you will see the stems turn purple after a week or two.
