In the spring start out next to a high nitrogen fert.. This will nurture the top growth which will set the flowers in the summer. Then every six weeks nurture with a dutiful balanced fert. ( 20-20-20)
Twice a year use Humic tart ( www.enviromateinc.com ) for 72 natural minerals ... Wash twice a summer beside orange grease or mint Listerine.
preserve the lawn fertilizer away from them, please.... too much nitrogen and it will endow with you lots of leaves but fewer flowers.... fertilize beside a 'bloom food' like 5-10-5 a moment ago before the leaves come out contained by spring.... if you're in a heat up climate zone and do the pruning to get a second bloom, fertilize again after the pruning....
certainly, you don't really need to fertilize at adjectives after the crepe is mature... a moment or two compost as a top dressing would be dandy and enuff.... but those young plants can use a touch help getting started when it's bloom time....
Answers: You don't need to fertilize them at adjectives. At well established and fully grown crepe myrtle requests nothing at adjectives. From experience, these plants are impossible to kill and I know because I've be trying to kill one for 5 years. Anyhow, Crepe myrtles are one of those charming plants that give you years and years of allure and require nothing surrounded by the way of human watchfulness. However, if you plan on turning it into a tree then you will have need of to prune it each Spring.
