My yard be sodded three weeks ago with bluegrass, and it's time to mow it. What I'm wondering is if I should pod the clippings, mulch them, or do the side-shoot thing and rake up the clippings. What's best for it?

The roots of your sod hasn't fully gotten established even so. I would recommend to mow it on your highest smooth the first few times. It won't hurt your lawn to check out of the clippings on the lawn. If you will to bag it you can. I am a landscaper and designer and also hold sod on my lawn. For the first few months of mowing, I recommend to my clients to hold on to the level at its utmost and wait until the roots are established. The grass can be a short time high presently as it is just developing. Stay on a honest watering schedule but don't over hose.

If you have a righteous mulching mower, then mulch the clippings.

Make sure your blade is set at 3 inches, and not smaller quantity. Grass grows better if it is not cut too short, especially when it is getting established. Also, it is better to cut it more frequently and take smaller amount off than donate it a scalping at longer intervals.
