Was considering buying one of those Portable Miniature greenhouses (5 shelf rack covered with the gooey plastic covering) on wheels.

Would approaching to use it for starting flower/vegetable seeds but wasn't sure when to put it outside (how cold is too cold?)
What can I use instead of a saucer...
Answers:    if you place the greenhouse along the south wall of a house so that it have protection you could probably place it out there within march. but if you hold a cold frame with ground fry cables you could start up within February.
also it depends on the type of seeds you are starting
peas are massively cold hardy as are some perennials.
all surrounded by all you don't gain much beside a little greenhouse as far as seedling production because of the unfixed temperatures that you will hold in the small space.
