How various times should you try to start a lawnmower? I told my boyfriend that I pulled the cord about 50...
I told my boyfriend that I pulled the cord about 50 times and he get mad and said I could enjoy ruined the engine. (Needless to say it didn't ever start up.)
As long as there's grease in the engine, no injure will be done by pulling repeatedly.
If it doesn't start on the first few pulls:
1) make sure there's gas within it.
2) make sure it isn't 'old' gas.
3) check to see if there's a spout in the fuel procession that has be turned off.
4) product sure the spark plug is in virtuous condition, the gap is set correctly, that the plug is sufficiently tightened, and that the lead is properly connected.
5) make sure in attendance isn't an on/off switch that you've forgotten to turn on.
6) let it sit for 10 minutes or so contained by case it's 'flooded'.
hehehe,a pretty bold statement from a boyfriend.
If it was going to start it would hold on the first couple pulls.I would look and see if the isn't a primer bulb by carburetor, check spark plug, old gas?.
It may simply stipulation a tune up,most homeowners are unaware of maint on small engines.I would pocket down to a shop and have it worked on,the engine is most probable fine.
I almost forgot, duhhh. If this is a newer mower that has crank luggage oil it may be low.Allot of the mowers presently days have a switch surrounded by oil,low grease won't start.
I'm done, off to my own misery.Only 3 lawns to do today.
Good-day
Answers: If you verbs the cord more that half a dozen times you will choke up the engine beside gas and there's no hope of starting it then until it's have time to clear, which could be as much as 15mins. Make sure you first push the primer button for the number of times recommended for your machine. Then you own to pull the cord really really unyielding and quickly. I find I'm not elevated enough or srong satisfactory usually to start it the first time & my husband has to do it. After it's warm up there's no problem. Hope this doesn't depress you!
Carls answer is pretty goood and to the point.LOL I bet you get on heck of a workout...LOL now do the other arm for even reps,,,LOL. usally if mine don't start after 5-6 pulls I would stop. My push mower is a 20 yr old-fashioned toro and still works great!
Before starting, be sure to check gas, oil, and if it have a primmer... pump it 3 times, choke it and it should start within 2-5 pulls!!save !, check for spark!!
