How long do seed ultimate? I have some seed I saved from my grapefuits, oranges, and lemons....
I have some seed I saved from my grapefuits, oranges, and lemons. My question is, how long do they last since they can longer be planted?
Days? Months? Years? Decades?
And is this true for all seed...strawberries, sunflowers, etc...

Viability in seed is really very adjectives. Some wheat seeds own been certain to remain alive for over a thousand years.
I don't believe fruit seeds will remain viable for drastically long. Once they dry out, they will be pretty much gone. They should be planted fresh. You might put them in a plastic daypack with dry peat moss and store them within the refrigerator until you want to plant them.
One way to oral exam if seeds are still alive is to pilfer a few of them, put them between wet composition towels in a considerable plastic bag, and put surrounded by a warm place for three or four days. If they sprout, next they are alive.
