and how long generally does it take to climb a wall?

p.s. which vines are some other upright options for part sun that climb a wall short need for a lattice?

Thanks for your answers!
Answers:    I planted a climbing hydrangea surrounded by mostly shade and it has never flowered. What is zone 6b? Good climbing plants are Virginia Creeper and ivy. Virginia creeper is good because it go a lovely red in the autumn and the leaves fall sour so you can check the wall/fence it's growing on in the winter. I think honeysuckle manage without a lattice too.
Hi:
I am a landscaper and designer and climbing Hydrangeas will do fine within your zone. This plant specimen will need shade and can't take full sun. Other devout climbers are Jasmine, Clematis, Honeysuckle, and Virginia Creeper. All these would do fine in your zone. I will link you to the gallery of plants division and the variety of plants section of my website. There are different plants that may work for you. There is a page on Honeysuckle. I will also interconnect you to the site map, as this page has everything that is on the website. There are heaps articles, tips and techniques that be of use to you. Good luck and have a great year!
