It's my first winter in a unknown home with a fully grown landscapre that includes tons of large Day Lillies (multiple shades of yellows and peaches). I live within southeastern PA and we've already had our first frost. I kept adjectives of my day lillies dead-headed and cut them put money on 2/3 in August and have plenty of reblooms after that. All that's left immediately are the "greens" - do I cut them back to the ground or go off them showing for the winter?
Answers: Don't cut your daylilies back contained by the fall. Let the winter rob care of the leaves and verbs them up in the spring. They obligation all the season they can take, for the leaves to grow and provide food to their storage type roots.
I never cut mine back. I do freshly what you did and in the Fall I disappear them alone. The leaves will just wither and flop and travel back into the soil. They come pay for year after year.
