We have a generous garden that is surrounded by field. We are getting lots of rats digging all over the garden. We dont want to use poison as we enjoy 2 dogs. Traps wont work and the dogs can't catch them. Im shooting them at the moment, but in that are far too many. Any give support to please.

Answers:    Call in the local authority cockroaches control. I have them out twice per year, free of charge. I enjoy two cats and a dog ..no problem,they put the poison in special containers so that rats and mice can partake, pets can't. Works for me and I live subsequent to a farm

I know aspirin will snuff rats- but check with your vet if it's poisonous to dogs
