the plant was within a friends house and i broke a part of it stale and have placed it surrounded by water until i know how to concern for it. i would like to revive it and eventually plant it
Answers: First you hold to know the genus and species of the plant you wish to propagate. lift a twig with leaves to a garden meat and they will tell you what it is.
A four foot branch will grow if it's a poplar or Willow tree amongst others. Not a great deal of trees will grow from a cutting that big though. Some will not grow from cuttings at adjectives unless you have specialist equipment.
Fuschias are glib and typical of many cuttings.
Usually when you are rooting something you use soft green unsullied growth, six inches or so, and dip it in a hormone root starter. The branch you enjoy sounds like it is too big to be rooted. Try some tip cuttings if it is still fresh and appearing to be alive.
