Answers: Silver beet is best grown from home grown seedling that are raised contained by single cells, this give you the opertunity to select the best and most prolific plants to plant out in your garden....
The soil must be ably mixed with natural material to win a fast growing crop and forceful plant.....that is to say-so....add cow droppings, aged chicken manure or the similar to ( dinamic lifter is ok if you can't grasp natural ), but tag on compost, garden clippings etc. to the soil in preparation the winter earlier planting....turn them in thoroughly and preserve soil moist by watering if rain is limiting.....
The nouns for growing is best made into raised bed as this gives one greater control if the season is a drizzling one.... the soil should be cultivated to around 150mm ( 6 inches ) deepth, two weeks prior to planting out your seedlings it is a apt idea to prepare your bed by weeding/ light cultivating and applying a polite base fertiliser as 10:10:10 NPK, or as close as practical to this as available.....horticultural....nitrophos... blue special is my partiality......this is applied in different ways but my method is to verbs a trench ( about 100mm (4 in) open ) to the upside of where the plants are to be planted, afterwards spead, (bury) the NPK fertiliser in the trench at the rate of 150gms per plant, after cover up.....the seedlings are kept at a distance of 50mm (2in) away from this fertiliser company.....

To attain a top yield, save the beds free of weed, compost aroud the plants, but no closer than 50mm (2in) and feed every second week near a liquid fertilser as thrive, match etc....potassium nitrate is a favorite of mine.
The leaves must be harvested (picked) from the outside on a rgular idea to keep the plants flourishing, they may be incited to grow taller stems by early pruning of these ouside leaves....trial to your own conditions and soak up the experience ....gardening is great....
