I just want to know because I want to plane them in my garden...
Hibiscus tree or shrub? Tropical? Can it survive in your climate? huh?

If you want to grow your own then it is really effortless to grow from cuttings. Notice how the leaf growth pattern on a hibiscus grows near two leaf buds on either side. Cut purely above a pair of leaves. (This will also help your plant produce more side branches). Putt adjectives of your cuttings in a good soil and maintain moist. You will know within a week which ones will take. The others will be browning and late looking. Try it with several slips and you should get a few that help yourself to. The last time I did this, I had nearly 50 slips and 4 of them took. Yes, I do wish more would have made it, but hey to be exact 4 new plants that I didn't have in the past.
Good Luck and happy gardening!

Oh and by the way to those who made a point to ask if it be tropical or a tree or shrub. All Hibiscus are tropical and all can be either a tree or a shrub. It is adjectives in how you prune it from early on within life.
Answers:    It is much easier to grow hibiscus from cuttings. Most variety are sterile (they don't have viable seed) and in anycase cuttings strike effortlessly and ensure you will end up with like peas in a pod flower and have flowers faster.

Put a sterilized potting mix or peat into the bottom third of the pot with some osmocote and consequently fill the pot with coarse sand or perlite. Wait until there's a gala bit of growth before tipping the cuttings out.
Wait until the seed leader is completely dried on the plant, then collect seeds.

Cuttings root within water.
