How do you get rid of rime plant aka sea fig? I own a house near a sheltered beach surrounded by california, and due to strict rules in the nouns I cannot use any chemicals to kill the plant. So far I manage to take a steel rake and manually verbs the plant from the ground. Is there an easier path to do it? Any advice on how to hang on to the plant from coming back?
Answers: Unfortunately the single way minus chemcials is by pulling it out. You need to lift everything including all the root sytem.
Leaving a small of root system surrounded by the soil will produce more iceplant.
I don't have any experience beside this plant specifically, but have well-educated that boiling water works really okay in permenantly removing unwanted groundcovers. Although, the amount of nouns you have to cover may spawn this not worth the effort.
